Activites funding from Devon Communities Foundation will help to support.
Ilfracombe Community Land Trust is delighted to thank Devon Community Foundation for their generous grant of £1,000. This is, by their own definition, a “Small Grant,” but it will make a massive difference to us.
As many community group members will know, it’s easier to attract funds for specific projects than for day-to-day running costs. This is understandable: funders naturally want to see what’s been achieved with their money. That’s why almost all of the money in ICLT’s bank account is tied to the Bicclescombe housing project. Meanwhile, there are running costs that we can’t and shouldn’t avoid—items like insurance and website hosting.
We’re very grateful to the Devon Community Foundation for their understanding: this grant will give ICLT the freedom to move ahead and focus on housing, knowing that our own costs will be covered for a while.
