ICLT registration formICLT registration formIlfracombe Community Land Trust (ICLT) is a registered Community Benefits Society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014.  This not for profit structure is a common one for English Community Land Trusts. 

The structure ensures that community assets such as land and buildings are held, through the members of the society, for the benefit of the community in perpetuity. People who live or work in the Civil Parish of Ilfracombe have the opportunity to become members of the CLT. The Society can raise capital by issuing shares, but any profit must be used to benefit the community. 

The day to day management of the CLT is the responsibility of the Members of the Board.  There are currently seven Board Members who meet regularly and in accordance of the rules of the Society.

The Rules of the Society are written to comply with the requirements of the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014
