We’re delighted to say that the application to build on the Bicclescombe site has now been submitted to the Planning department at NDDC. You can see all the details via this link - https://planning.northdevon.gov.uk/Planning/Display/78083 (and we do mean all – house plans, drains, hedges, how many bats live there, etc).
Most importantly, the planning website is the place to make your views known to the people who will be making the decision. It’s vital to make sure they know there is good local support for the application, so the more of us who contact them, the better. Obviously as soon as there’s news, we’ll pass it on.
Meanwhile a quick reminder of the basics in case anyone’s wondering: although the homes will be built and managed for us by Aster, https://www.aster.co.uk/about-us/housebuilding they will always remain owned by the CLT. This means they cannot be sold on the open market, and will always be available at social rents to local people.
